The written word from Genesis to Revelation will always lead us to the “living” word:  Jesus the Messiah (Christ).

The Lighthouse believes you came here at the appointed time.  Praying this information recognizes and affirms what the Lord is doing to build His Church:  the body and bride of Christ.

God established a covenant with Abraham and Israel became a “nation” set apart.  God sent forth his Son (new covenant), and by Faith everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved and receive the Spirit of adoption as sons.  All become one in Jesus the Christ by Faith whom revealed the mystery hidden for ages in the Church (invisible).

John the Baptist sent from God became a witness about the Light teaching Repentance and Faith:  symbol being Baptism.

John 1:4 … In Him (Jesus) was the life, and The Life was the light of men.  The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

John 1:8-9 … He (John the Baptist) was not the light, but came to bear witness about the light.  The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world.

The work of Jesus the Christ on the cross made it possible for us to become the righteousness of God.

Our response in Romans 10:9 says it best:  if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him (Jesus) from the dead, you will be saved.  By Faith (we believe), spiritual birth takes place in our heart.  John 1:33 says that He (Jesus) baptizes with the Holy Spirit (as a seal and down payment) for a future promise of glorified bodies upon Jesus return:  the Day of the Lord and 2nd coming.  We are to be “ready”.

Disciples are called to live by Faith in the Son of God, Jesus.  Galatians 2:20 will be our basis to live life collectively.  Faith in Jesus begins upon our spiritual birth.

As a Disciple, we become a witness and ambassador for the Light:  Jesus the Christ.  All who believe the Word of God are called to the ministry of reconciliation entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.  Our ministry calling begins upon our understanding and “belief” that Jesus paid our sin debt in full on the cross:  The Word of God (the Bible) calls this belief:  FAITHFaithful, Available, In Christ, Teachable and Humble.

A Disciple begins to understand the depth of the “good news” of Jesus as our Light, Lord, Life and how to Live by Faith out of Love.  A Disciple should become equipped to do ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the Faith.  Always seeking to speak the truth in Love.

A Disciple begins to understand what it means to be a new creation.  God was reconciling the world to himself no longer counting our sins:  past, present and future against us.  Jesus took on sin who knew no sin so we might become the righteousness of God.  We are made right with God in Jesus death, burial and resurrection.  Jesus paid our sin debt in full and with His last words on the cross, it is finished:  we can begin to grasp our Freedom (from sin’s power) we have in Christ!

Acts 1:11 … This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.  Reminder:  we need to always be Ready.

We begin this new life of Faith in Jesus as a Disciple seeking to observe all that Jesus has commanded us and known as:  The Great Commission.

Light – Worship:  The written Word of God (Light) will always lead us to the living Word (Jesus).  We see God revealing His plans for mankind from Genesis to Revelation.  The Word of God provides us the “will of God” and the “authoritative revelation of God.”  Father God, Lord Jesus and Holy Spirit help us Worship you.  (Who will you worship or follow?)

Lord – Lordship:  Thank you Jesus for coming inperson”.  The written Word will always lead us to the living Word who is Christ Jesus our Lord, Savior, Redeemer and King.  Holy Spirit come help us understand Lordship.  (What will you believe?)

Life – Headship:  Thank you Jesus for giving us “true life” and “freedom” from our sins.  Holy Spirit help us understand Headship of Jesus over our lives.  (Where are you going with your story … that becomes God’s story?)

Live – Sonship – Adoption:  Thank you Jesus, the Son of God for our Sonship and Adoption into the family of God giving us a new heart and new identity.  Holy Spirit teach us how to Live by Faith in the Son of God (Galatians 2:20).  (When will you begin to “live out” your true identity in Christ?).

Key point:  Only 1 person will be perfect in this life:  Jesus.  We can begin to “live out” of God’s rest and begin to understand our Freedom “in Christ” which is an active (not passive) Faith.  We learn Repentance and Faith.  The fruit of the Spirit begins here.

Love – Fellowship:  Thank you Father God, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit for our Fellowship with you and teaching us your unconditional love and making us “right” with you forever.  (Why love should be our priority?).

Remember the GoalDo all things to the glory of God in thought, word and deed.

The purpose of the Lighthouse will be to encourage the Church, the body of Christ to be a Disciple who desires make disciples as we Go!

Life on Life begins the “intentional” Evangelism and Discipleship process.

In Christ collectively,

The Lighthouse

… belongs to the Lord:  a living testimony / document

Praying these thoughts and ideas encourage you, a Disciple as you Go and make disciples.

Praying for open discussion in light of the Word of God being the main thing.  All thoughts and ideas being shared must be based on the truth in love as best we understand the Word of God at this point in time.  We always reserve the right for the Holy Spirit to change our thinking!

Praying that the love of God’s Glory and Word will always be the “main thing” in our thoughts, words and deeds by Faith!

The Bible says … The revelation of Jesus the Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants the things that must soon take place.  He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, who bore witness to the Word of God and to the testimony of Jesus the Christ, even to all that he saw.  Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy and blessed are those who hear and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near (The book of Revelation:  Chapter 1:1-3.

Servant Leadership:  Relates with the understanding of Headship and Sonship – Adoption.

1.  Engage in consensus decision making rather than authoritarian or compromise.  Marriage and Church.

2.  Actively seek to understand His wife’s thoughts, feelings and needs.  (Insert understand the Church members.)

3.  Encourage his wife to develop her full potential and use all her abilities.  (Insert encourage the Church members.)

4.  Be more interested in personal growth and development than tasks and roles.  Marriage and Church.

5.  Place high priority on time with his wife and family.  (Insert time with Church members, importance of fellowship.)

NoteEphesians 5This mystery is profound, I am saying that how we relate to our wife refers to Christ and the Church example.  Adding in the perspective of the Church in place of our wife provides focus as to the spiritual leadership role for both the family and Church.  We see this in the qualifications for Elders and Deacons.

NoteGalatians 3 and 4Headship in Ephesians 5 connects to Sonship and Adoption.  In Christ:  all sons of God, through faith.  God sent forth his son to redeem us so that we might receive adoption as sons.  All being one in Christ collectively:  the body of Christ / bride of Christ.
